14 August 2025 – IUFoST and UNIDO today announced their joint programme on ‘Redefining Food Processing’, a symposium in the IUNS-ICN World Congress.
Food Processing extends shelf life, improves access to nutrition, and supports food safety and sustainability, while driving value addition, job creation, and economic growth. Highlighting its importance to global health and wellbeing, IUFoST and UNIDO are hosting the symposium “Redefining Food Processing – Critical interventions Enabling Food Security, Supporting Consumer Needs and Sustainability of Food Systems, during the International Congress of Nutrition (ICN) being held by IUFoST’s International Science Council colleague IUNS from August 24 to 29 in Paris, France.
